The Erich Wesjohann Foundation
The Erich Wesjohann Foundation has made it its mission to strengthen the promotion of development cooperation as well as international outlook, tolerance in all areas of culture, and the idea of understanding among peoples.
This includes in particular supporting regional structural development to improve food, health and education in developing countries. Projects are supported that have a general health, social, education and career-supporting background, but also those that promote social and economic self-reliance.
The main focus of the funding is building structures for "helping people help themselves". In this way, regional self-supply is promoted and no pure subsidies are provided. In addition, projects promoting understanding among peoples, such as youth exchanges, are supported, enabling an understanding of how regional structures are built. The projects focus on developing countries and regions that require special support.

Development
Sustainable development takes place where key areas of life are considered holistically. Education, food and health are inseparably linked and form the basis for stable, self-determined communities.
Only if people have access to knowledge, balanced nutrition and medical care can they develop their potential and shape their future independently.
Therefore the Erich Wesjohann Foundation supports projects that deliberately connect these areas with one another. By building regional structures, long-term solutions are created that go beyond short-term assistance. The aim is to strengthen people on the ground, sustainably improve their living conditions, and thereby achieve positive impact for whole regions.
